Did I mention?

the supportive emails I have received from Haiti from colleagues I worked with in the past (post-Katrina or on the COMFORT). You would think they would be full up with more acute disasters to support. But what a statement about the quality of the folks I am priviledged to work with. Thanks guys. And in response I post a few pre-earthquake photos of Port-au-Prince, Haiti from September 2007.

  1. Dear Louisa,

Quite a story. And the amazing thing is that it's all really happening.

Thanks for sharing you experience of being on the other side of the chemo divide--as patient, not doctor. Hemoglobin of 7? Wow. Repeatedly? Double wow. Neuropathy? Ouch!

I admire your pluck in dealing with this ordeal, and all the uncertainties that it entails.

It's great to know that you've received what sounds like some very promising new chemo.

My thoughts and best wishes are with you.

    With love,
